Fortnite Season 7 is one of the biggest updates yet, adding a whole new map, Creative Mode, and tons of new features. The latest Fortnite 7.10 Update 3 also introduces the Suppressed Sniper along with extending the 14 Days of Fortnite event. But with Fortnite Season 7 still going on, players might wonder when is Fortnite Season 8? Here’s what we know about the Fortnite Season 8 Release Date.
Fortnite Season 8 Release Date – March 2019
Fortnite Season 7 will be a particularly long one. While Fortnite Seasons usually last around 10 weeks, Epic Games noted that Season 7 will last a little longer due to the team taking a holiday break.
The Epic Games team will be taking its own holiday break this winter, so Season 7 will be extended by two weeks and end on February 28. We’ll still have new updates coming out during that break period bringing new items and challenges. You can plan on more holiday cheer to hit before the New Year as well!
With the Season ending right at the end of February, Season 8 should start right on March 1st, 2019. Users will have plenty of time to enjoy the Season 7 winter map and features while they wait for Spring to roll around.
What Will The Fortnite Season 8 Theme Be?
With Fortnite Season 7 following a winter holiday theme, it’ll be interesting to see the direction Fortnite Season 8 takes.

Recent Fortnite leaks show that new skins and cosmetics are coming soon as part of the ‘Nautilus’ set. It suggests that the next Season could have an aquatic theme, especially as all the ice around the map melts. Some fans have even speculated that you could battle a Cthulhu-like sea monster.
With Spring starting, there could also be a warmer feel to the map. There’s still a fair few weeks to go until Season 8, and new leaks will likely come out before the update launches. We’ll keep up with the latest info on Elecspo.com.
