Epic Games have released the early patch notes for Fortnite 7.10 Update 3 and there are some fun changes coming for players. The first Fortnite update of 2019 will feature a brand new Fortnite gun- the Suppressed Sniper rifle. The update will also nerf the X-4 Stormwing plane and extend the 14 Days of Fortnite with new challenges. Here’s more on Fortnite 7.10 Update 3.
Fortnite 7.10 Update 3 – Suppressed Sniper Rifle
Soon players will be able to use the brand new Suppressed Sniper Rifle in Fortnite Battle Royale.
The Fortnite Suppressed Sniper was previously leaked by data miners. The gun will come in two rarities- Legendary and Epic. Each mag will have one bullet dealing 100-105 damage, with the suppressed barrel making it a silent but deadly weapon.
The gun takes inspiration from the Frostbite in Fortnite STW. But with the new update, it’ll be going live in Fortnite Battle Royale with new sounds and stats.
Fortnite 7.10 Update 3 – Nerfed Stormwing
The new Fortnite 2019 update will also nerf the X-4 Stormwing Plane. Planes were introduced to the game last month, allowing players to fly across the map and shoot enemies with their turrets.
The Epic Games Patch Notes detail the following changes to the X-4 Stormwing:
- The knockback a player receives after being hit by a Stormwing has been decreased by 70%.
- Damage done to the Stormwing from colliding with structures has been increased by 50%.
- Impact damage reduction while boosting through structures reduced from 50% to 25%
- Increased the spread of the Stormwing machine gun by 75%.
- Stormwing spawn chance has been decreased to 80% from 100%.
There will also be some bug fixes for the plane.
More Fortnite 2019 Updates
The Fortnite 2019 update will also feature a few other changes.
14 Days of Fortnite will be extended. Players will still be able to take part in festive winter challenges and Limited Time Modes for the Christmas-themed event.
There are also a few changes to Fortnite Save the World. The Santa’s Little Helper and Popshot Shotgun weapons will be available. There will also be some new Frostnite challenges.
