Nintendo Direct February 2019 featured announcements for many new Nintendo Switch Games and release dates. But one of the most exciting for old school RPG fans is the release of Final Fantasy 9 and Final Fantasy 7 Switch. Switch players can buy Final Fantasy IX Switch right now, whereas Final Fantasy VII will be available for Nintendo Switch next month. Here’s more on the Final Fantasy Switch games.

Final Fantasy 9 Switch Price

Final Fantasy IX is available right now from the Nintendo eShop. The February Nintendo Direct officially announced the launch of the game for Nintendo Switch.

FF9 for Switch costs $20.99 USD or £16.99 GBP to download from the Nintendo eShop.

The game doesn’t introduce any new features for the Switch, but simply ports the old game to the new console. Nonetheless, this gives Final Fantasy plans another chance to play the classic game.

Final Fantasy 7 Switch Release Date & Price

Final Fantasy VII will come to the Nintendo Switch on March 26. It will most likely cost the same as Final Fantasy IX at $20.99 USD or £16.99 GBP.

The game is also a direct port of the original and not a remake or remaster. With the Final Fantasy VII Remake in the works, we may see a Switch release on future. However, the updated graphics may be too much for the console to handle.

More Final Fantasy for Switch

There’s also plenty more on offer for those who want to play Final Fantasy on the Switch.

Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy will be available for the Switch on March 20, 2019. The spin-off dungeon crawler game features Chocobos battling against many notorious Final Fantasy enemies.

Final Fantasy XII: THE ZODIAC AGE will come to the Nintendo Switch on the 30th of April, 2019. This will be the full version of the Zodiac Age edition of the game, featuring character Classes.

FINAL FANTASY XV POCKET EDITION HD is available now from the Nintendo eShop. This bring Final Fantasy XV to the Switch with scaled-down, cartoon graphics.
