The Evolution Championship Series kicks off today and there’s an impressive pool of Evo 2018 players across the eight games featured.
The Evo 2018 Games Lineup features thousands of players in games like Dragon Ball FighterZ, Street Fighter V, and Smash Bros. Melee and WiiU.
Here’s a look at some of the top players featured.
Evo 2018 Smash Bros for Wii U Players
The Super Smash Bros. 4 tournament at Evo 2018 will feature 1355 entrants.
Some names to watch are Nairo, MkLeo, Nairo, Salem, Tweek, Void, ESAM, and Abadango.
Leonardo “MKLeo” Lopez beat Abadango for the SSB4 grand prize at Evo Japan 2018. NRG Salem won the Evo 2017 tournament, taking out TSM Zero in the grand finals.
ZeRo isn’t competing this year but he has expressed interest in playing the Smash Bros Ultimate exhibition, along with Nairo and ESAM.
Evo 2018 Smash Bros Melee Players
SSBM will also be played at Evo 2018, with 1353 entrants in the group stages and an eight player grand final taking place on Sunday.
The tournament features a star-studded lineup featuring past winners Armada, HungryBox, and Mang0 along with top players like Plup, Leffen, Zain, and Mew2King.
Evo 2018 Dragon Ball FighterZ Players
The first ever Evo DBFZ tournament got more entrants than any other game, with 2575 players competing.
Notable names include SonicFox, NYChrisG, Dogura, GO1, Fenritti, HookGangGod, Kazunoko, and ApologyMan.
NYChrisG won the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournament at Evo 2016. SonicFox won the Mortal Kombat X tournament two years in a row at Evo 2015 and 2016. We’ll see how their fighting game skills translate to DBFZ.
Evo 2018 Street Fighter V Players
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is the second most popular game at Evo with 2494 entrants.
Infiltration and Tokido will be looking to reclaim the Evo SFV crown. Daigo, Fujimira, NL, NuckleDu, and Justin Wong will be there to challenge them.
Tekken 7 Evo 2018 Players
Tekken 7 returns at Evo 2018 with 1543 players entering into the weekend tournament.
SAINT, JDCR, JeonDDing, Anakan, jimmyjtran, and Joey Fury will all be in attendance.

Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev2, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, and Injustice 2 will also be played throughout the weekend tournaments.
The grand final will feature five of the top games in the Mandalay Bay Arena on Sunday, with SSB 4 notably absent.
