Call of Duty creators Activision have announced there will be a brand new ‘Warzone Weekend’, pitting the world’s best CoD players against each other in the popular Battle Royale mode.
In a first for the game, the players from the Call of Duty Worldwide League will go head to head in a private lobby match this coming weekend to see who is the king of Verdansk.

As well as the usual Call of Duty League format taking place, fans of the game and its respective teams can now get the chance to witness some serious battle in the Battle Royale format.
Warzone, which has grown in popularity since its release earlier this year, pits teams of four against one another in a last team standing format. The race is on to gather loot, complete contracts, and eliminate your opponents to snatch the victory within the circle shrinking time limit.
It’s set to be an exciting event. In fact, it will be completely different to the format of Call of Duty we see.
Big teams in the world of CoD such as Chicago Huntsmen, Seattle Surge, and Paris Legion will be hoping to be crowned the first Warzone champions when the tournament launches this weekend.
When and how to watch the Call of Duty Warzone Weekend
Fans of the game won’t have to wait long to witness their favourite teams going head to head for the Warzone crown.
In fact, the tournament is due to take place this weekend. Sunday 24th May is the date, with viewers able to log on to Call of Duty League’s Youtube channel to catch all the action. Unfortunately, no exact time has been confirmed as yet for the competition.
It will certainly be interesting to see who comes out on top in what is set to be an action-packed Sunday of Call of Duty Warzone fun.
