According to a Mortal Kombat 11 leak, the game will have 28 characters at launch. So who are the Mortal Kombat 11 missing characters?

Iconic characters such as Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Noob Saibot, Johnny Cage, and Raiden have been confirmed. Characters like Kitana and Frost are also coming soon according to the (remarkably accurate) roster leak.

But there are still some notable characters who haven’t made the cut. Whether they’ll be late inclusions is yet to be seen. Here are the top 5 characters missing from the Mortal Kombat 11 roster.

Mortal Kombat 11 Missing Characters

1. Rain

With 22 characters confirmed for the roster and 6 more to come according to leaks, there is still no sign of Rain.

Although he doesn’t regularly appear in the games, Rain has a large fanbase who hoped for his appearance in Mortal Kombat 11. While he made an appearance in Mortal Kombat X, he was a non-playable character. It looks like fans will once again be let down in Mortal Kombat 11.

2. Goro

Goro is an iconic Kombatant who made his first appearance as a boss character in the very first Mortal Kombat.

Since then, he’s made many appearances- most recently in Mortal Kombat X as a playable DLC character. It looks like fans will have to hope for DLC again as the four-armed beast is missing from the launch roster.

3. Reptile

Another one of the notable missing Mortal Kombat 11 characters right now is Reptile. Easily recognizable from his alligator-like appearance, Reptile is another fighter that has been with the series ever since the original.

He’s a fan favorite for many players. But, so far, there’s no sign of him in the Mortal Kombat 11 character roster.

4. Ermac

Ermac started out as a sequence of letters meaning “Error Macro” in a diagnostic menu due to an apparent glitch. However, he soon became a fully-fledged character and a big part of Mortal Kombat lore.

Ermac has since appeared in many games, including the previous installment Mortal Kombat X. However, it seems he’ll be left out of the lineup for Mortal Kombat 11.

5. Kenshi

The blind warrior who relies on his psychokinetic powers made his first appearance in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. However, he quickly became a well-received character.

Kenshi was part of the base roster in Mortal Kombat X, but it seems things have changed for Mortal Kombat 11.

Missing Mortal Kombat 11 characters – will they be DLC?

With some popular characters missing, many fans will be disappointed. But it’s not impossible they make the roster eventually.

Mortal Kombat X had 9 DLC characters across 2 Kombat Packs- something Mortal Kombat 11 will likely replicate. There are also more characters to be announced for the base roster, although leaks suggest none of these five characters will make it on launch day.
