Super Smash Bros used to be all about Nintendo characters. However, the roster now boasts many iconic third-party characters. One of these is Mega Man. Originally introduced in Smash 4, Mega Man now seems stronger, faster, and better. Here’s how to unlock Mega Man in Smash Bros Ultimate.

Fastest Way To Unlock Mega Man In Smash Bros Ultimate

The fastest way to unlock Mega Man in Smash Bros Ultimate is via Classic Mode. If you start as Pikachu, you can unlock Mega Man in 4 games of Classic Mode. This should only take around 40 minutes or less.

Alternatively, you can also unlock him via Smash Mode or World of Light, although this may take a little longer.

How To Unlock Mega Man In Classic Mode

You can unlock Mega Man after 4 Classic Mode runs. He’s the 5th character in Pikachu’s unlock chain.

Pikachu > Villager > Shulk > R.O.B. > Mega Man > Isabelle > Mr Game and Watch > Pichu > Sonic > Bayonetta

This means you can use Pikachu to unlock VIllager, Villager to unlock Shulk and so on until you unlock Mega Man. You can also complete Classic Mode with Pikachu four times for the same result. This should take around 40 minutes, although it may be quicker if you play on a lower difficulty setting.

How To Unlock Mega Man In Smash Mode

You can unlock all of the Super Smash Bros Ultimate roster via Smash Mode. Usually, the game allows you to unlock a new character every 10 minutes. However, there is a trick to reset the timer. This makes it the fastest way to unlock all characters in Smash Bros Ultimate.

However, Mega Man is the 42nd character you unlock with this method. As such, you may find it quicker and easier to unlock him via Classic Mode.

How To Unlock Mega Man In World of Light

You can also find Mega Man in World of Light, the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Adventure Mode.

Make sure you take the Marth Route near the start of the game. You can find Mega Man in the Military Base in the southwest of the map, along with Snake. You’ll need the Hal Emmerich Spirit to open the base.
