Super Smash Bros Ultimate is stacked. We already know it’s getting 103 stages, 900 music tracks, and over 67 characters. While many fighters have already been announced, we’re likely to see a host of new Smash Bros Ultimate characters.

Earlier this week we covered the most likely Smash Bros Ultimate Echo Fighters. Today we’ll look at the most likely new Smash Bros Ultimate characters, based on leaks, hints, rumors, and fan demand.
10. Spring-Man (ARMs)
ARMs has sold over 2 million copies, making it one of the most popular Nintendo Switch games. Spring-Man has a perfect move set for Smash Bros, but it may be too early. Expect to see him as DLC.
9. Chorus Kids/Karate Joe (Rhythm Heaven)
It might seem like an outlandish pick, but according to a data-miner there were files for a Rhythm Heaven character in Smash Bros for Wii U. Many fans have speculated the Chorus Kids will make the roster, but one fan had a very interesting theory regarding Karate Joe.
Not sure if this has been seen/posted, but this was posted on 4chan as “evidence” for Karate Joe’s inclusion. Thought you guys would be interested.

8. Rayman (Rayman Series)
Nintendo and Ubisoft have a great relationship, even collaborating on the crossover game Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. If we don’t see Ubisoft’s signature character Rayman in Smash Bros Ultimate, expect to at least see the Rabbids.
7. Black Shadow (F-Zero Series)
Despite having a cast full of unique and zany racers, Captain Falcon has been the only playable F-Zero character in Smash Bros for the past 19 years. Now Ridley and King K Rool made the roster, Captain Falcon’s nemesis may finally join Smash Bros Ultimate.
6. Bandana Dee (Kirby Series)
One of Sakurai’s own characters, Bandana Waddle Dee from the Kirby Series, is also in popular demand from fans. It wouldn’t be hard to include him- but is there room for another Kirby villain?
5. Banjo and Kazooie (Banjo-Kazooie)
Of all the third-party characters fans want in Smash Bros, Banjo & Kazooie might be the most popular. Everyone from Xbox’s Phil Spencer to the creator of the characters has given their blessing for Banjo & Kazooie in Smash Ultimate, so now it’s all on Nintendo to make it happen.
4. Incineroar (Pokemon Sun and Moon)
A Gen VII Pokemon is likely to enter the roster. It’s been suggested in various leaks, with popular GameFAQs Forum leaker Vergeben claiming it will be Incineroar. The fully-evolved fire starter would make a worthy alternative to Pokemon Trainer’s Charizard.
3. Geno (Super Mario RPG)
Super Mario RPG hasn’t seen the light of day in over 20 years, but fans are still dying to see Geno in Smash Bros. In fact, Sakurai even wanted him in Brawl according to a past interview:
Geno was actually a character I wanted to include as a fighter. He has a gun for an arm, and just seems like he’d fit absolutely perfectly into Smash.
2. Isaac (Golden Sun)
Golden Sun was one of the most popular Nintendo games on the Game Boy Advance. Isaac has been one of the most wanted Smash Bros Ultimate characters by fans and, based on recent hints, he may finally enter the roster.

1. Skull Kid (The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask)
Aside from being mentioned in numerous leaks, the set of the latest Smash Bros Direct strongly reflects Skull Kid’s character design.

Add on the fact that his Assist Trophy isn’t in Ultimate and more Zelda tracks are coming and Skull Kid in Smash Bros Ultimate looks like a guarantee.
