Smash Bros Ultimate Joker leak – Best Buy leaks Joker’s render
All the way back in December, Joker was announced as the first paid Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC character. The announcement came in a video at The Game Awards 2018.
Joker will come as part of the DLC Challenger Pack 1, along with a brand new stage and music from the Persona series.
But since then, news on Joker has been sparse. In fact, there’s no gameplay footage of the new DLC character and no news on his specific release date.
A Smash Bros Ultimate Joker leak from Best Buy shows what he could look like in the game.

When is the Smash Bros Ultimate Joker release date
We already know that Joker will come as part as the Super Smash Bros Ultimate 3.0 Spring Update, but when will it release?
The fact that promotional materials are in circulation now suggests that Joker could come sooner rather than later. The Spring Update announcement claimed that it’d release before the end of April, although no specific date was given.
This could also hint at the next Nintendo Direct coming soon. An April 2019 Nintendo Direct could cover footage of the new character, along with news on other Switch releases such as the new Animal Crossing and Pokémon Sword and Shield.
It’s also possible that fans might have to wait till the end of April to play the new DLC character. However, fingers crossed we’ll get more information (if not a v3.0 release) in the next week.
