The new Overwatch hero Brigitte is the support of your dreams.
Brigitte is the seventh support character and the 27th hero to be released since the games launch back in May of 2016.
In fact, she is the first character released since last November when Moira joined the Overwatch ranks.
With her Repair Pack which heals up to 150 health and 75 armour and Rocket Flail which does a pretty meaty 35 damage, she should be a pretty interesting hero.
In our latest Developer Update, Game Director Jeff Kaplan welcomes Brigitte into the fray.

Overwatch hero Brigitte abilities:
Brigitte’s melee weapon has an extended range, enabling her to strike multiple enemies with a single swing.
Brigitte throws a Repair Pack that can heal an ally. Any healing over that ally’s maximum health provides them with armour instead.
Brigitte throws her flail a long distance, dealing damage and knocking an enemy away from her.
Brigitte deploys a frontal energy barrier to absorb a limited amount of damage.
Once her Barrier Shield is deployed, Brigitte can dash forward to stun an enemy.
When Brigitte hits enemies with her flail, she also heals nearby allies over time.
Brigitte moves faster and provides all nearby allies with armour that lasts until it’s removed by damage.
Overwatch hero Brigitte’s backstory
Oh, and her backstory is just as exciting as her abilities. The daughter of Torbjörn, Bridgette followed in her father’s footsteps in being an engineering whiz. However, while he focused more on some crazy weapons, she took charge of armour and defensive systems.
She also has close ties to Reinhardt who brought her on board as his squire and is in charge of keeping his crusader armour in ship-shape.
Our first look at Brigitte came in November thanks to the fantastic animated short “Honor and Glory” and a pair of digital comics.
We absolutely cannot wait to get our hands on the new hero and hopefully see a few more comics or videos on her and her family’s backstory.
