The February 2019 Nintendo Direct concluded last night and there were many announcements. In addition to the Smash Bros Ultimate Joker Release Date, plenty of new games and release dates got an announcement. Games included feature Super Mario Maker 2, Dragon Quest XI S, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and Final Fantasy VII. Here are all the Nintendo Direct Updates and release dates.

Nintendo Direct Updates: Game Release Dates

Nintendo Direct February 2019 revealed new information and release dates for many of the biggest upcoming Switch games.

BOX BOY & BOX GIRL will release on April 26, 2019. The platformer features 270 stages full of puzzles and adventures.

Super Mario Maker 2 will come to the Nintendo Switch in June 2019. The game follows the same formula as the first, allowing players to create their own maps and share them online.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 will release on July 12, 2019. It mixes the characters and environments of the Dragon Quest series with the loot-and-build style gameplay of Minecraft.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the latest in the Fire Emblem Series. It comes to the Switch on July 26.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is coming Summer 2019. The game features The Avengers and other Marvel Heroes facing off against Thanos and the Black Order in a 4-player co-op RPG.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a new Castlevania-esque side-scrolling action game. It will also come to the Switch in Summer 2019.

Nintendo Direct Updates: Switch Online DLC

The February Nintendo Direct also announced some new DLC available from Nintendo Switch Online.

Tetris 99 is available for free to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. It features fast-paced online Tetris gameplay.

Deltarune Chapter 1 will also be available for free on the Nintendo eShop from the 28th February. More chapters will come soon, although they won’t be free.

Daemon x Machina Demo is available for free now for players to test. Players will be able to take a survey to give feedback for later development.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas will get a DLC update in April 2019. This will feature new missions for Peppy, Slippy, and Falco.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker now also has a free update to support 2 player co-op. There will also be paid DLC available soon featuring 18 new challenges across 5 new courses. The first new course is available today, whereas others will release on March 14th.

There will also be a big Spring Update for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. This will feature the Joker DLC along with other updates. It’s set to release before April 2019.
