There’s yet another CS:GO March update and this one makes some huge gameplay changes. Round win bonuses have now been altered based on the team’s number of round losses. There’s also been an AUG change- the gun is now back at $3300 instead of $3100. This update will likely cause a big CS:GO meta change in how people play. Here’s more on the latest updates.

CS:GO Meta Change Update – New Round Bonuses

Back in October 2018, Valve made a big gameplay update with some significant CS:GO economy changes. The new system gave out more money for teams after round losses, making it easier for them to buy upgraded weapons and shift the momentum back in their favor.

There’s now a further economy change in the latest March 2019 update. As the CS:GO blog explains:

– Round loss bonuses are now based on the count of a team’s round losses. The count increases by one after every loss, and decreases by one after every win (minimum 0).
— With 0 Losses: $1400
— With 1 Loss: $1900
— With 2 Losses: $2400
— With 3 Losses: $2900
— With 4+ Losses: $3400
– Previously, a win would reset the round loss bonus. Now, a win reduces the loss counter by one.
– Teams still begin the half with a loss count of 1.

This means that teams who lose rounds will still be able to get back in the game much easier. It’ll be harder to break a team’s economy and players will have to rely more on skill to win rounds.

CS:GO AUG Price Change

There’s also been another significant change as the AUG is now back to its original price.

The October 2018 update made the AUG available to CT players for $3150 and the SG-553 available for $3100.

This caused a significant meta change, with many more players buying the AUG over the M4A4 or M4A1-S. In fact, HLTV stats show that 16.87% of kills in pro games were via AUG while just 10.96% were by the M4 rifles.

Now that many players have learned to use the gun, the price is back to $3300. This may shift things back in favor of the M4A4, but with the power of the AUG and new economy changes, there will likely still be many AUG buys.

More CS:GO March Updates

There are also a few other big changes in the new March update. Some shotguns are now cheaper and better. This may encourage more players to buy the Nova ($1050), Sawed-Off ($1100), and Mag7 ($1300) on eco rounds.

The new update also adds a host of new CS:GO skins in the Prisma Weapon Case. This includes 17 new weapon finishes for various guns.
