It looks like we’ll get our first taste of the new CS:GO update at a premier event very soon! The latest update will be used at EPICENTER 2018 on October 22.

This is fairly significant since the latest update could be the biggest game changer yet. With gun changes along with a major change to the round economy, it’ll be very interesting to see how the game is played at EPICENTER 2018.

EPICENTER 2018 Teams and Date

EPICENTER 2018 will be held in Moscow from October 22 – 28. Teams will compete for a prize pool of $300,000.

The event will feature top teams like Natus Vincere, Team Liquid, mousesports, and FaZe Clan.

Four more teams will join the event either by qualifying through playoffs or being invited. AVANGAR and Power Gaming have been confirmed so far.

EPICENTER previously held CS:GO tournaments in 2016 and 2017. These were very successful, with positive fan reactions and wins from Team Dignitas and SK Gaming.

With a new game-changing update in action, EPICENTER CS:GO 2018 could be one of the most interesting events of the year.

New CS:GO Update – Major Change to the Meta

The latest CS:GO update includes some changes that could seriously shake up the game.

The Tec-9 and CZ-75 Auto have been altered to make them easier to use. This could change how pistol rounds and eco rounds are played, with more opting for Tec-9 rushes, for instance.

The SG 553 and the AUG have been reduced to $2750 and $3150 respectively. At just $50 more than the AK47 and M4A4 or M4A1-S, more players may opt to these guns in competitive play.

Most importantly, the round economy has changed. A Pistol Round loss will result in enough money to full-buy by Round 3. It’s also easier to reset the economy and build a comeback. Along with cheaper rifles and pistol changes, the metagame could change significantly.
